About Ketel One
Ketel One is made by the Nolet family at their distillery in Schiedam, Holland, a Dutch town long known as a center of spirits making. The Nolet family has been distilling there since 1691, and Ketel One carries that history forward. It is made from wheat and named for the original copper pot still, the Distilleerketel #1 (ketel is Dutch for pot still). The spirit is distilled and finished in small batches in copper pot stills, then filtered, a process that gives Ketel One its clean, crisp signature. That blend of old-world craft and a modern, mixable style is why it has become a standard call behind the bar.
