Angel’s Envy Bourbon

From our bourbon list, the Angel’s Envy Bourbon is one of our favorite easy-sipping pours, a port-finished Kentucky bourbon that is $15 by the pour, or $22.50 for a larger pour.

About Angel’s Envy Bourbon

Angel’s Envy was co-founded by the late master distiller Lincoln Henderson, a Kentucky whiskey legend, and his son Wes Henderson. The brand opened its own production distillery on Louisville’s Whiskey Row in 2016. What sets it apart is the finishing: this Kentucky bourbon is aged up to 6 years, then finished in ruby Port wine casks for 3 to 6 months, a step Henderson pioneered to add a layer of soft fruit and richness on top of the bourbon. It is blended in small batches, which keeps each bottling balanced and consistent.

Tasting Notes

The Port finish shows clearly here, with rich flavors of vanilla, ripe fruit, and dark chocolate. It is smooth and rounded with a sweet finish, which makes it as comfortable neat as it is in an upscale cocktail. A genuinely approachable bourbon with real depth.

What to Pair It With

This is a sipping bourbon, lovely neat or over a single large cube, and it makes a memorable Old Fashioned. From the Sparrow dinner menu, it stands up beautifully to our American Wagyu steaks, the Sparrow-Smoked Rack, or the Truffle Deviled Eggs. Enjoy it after dinner in our 21+ lounge at the quartzite bar, and remember our daily happy hour runs 3 to 5 PM.
