About Angel’s Envy Triple Oak
From master distiller Owen Martin, the Triple Oak is the first new addition to the Angel’s Envy Signature Series lineup in over a decade, which made it a notable release for the Louisville distillery. It is a Kentucky straight bourbon finished in three distinct barrel types, Hungarian oak, Chickapin (chinkapin) oak, and French oak, each contributing its own character. The idea is a traditional bourbon with a modern twist: three woods, sourced from around the world, brought together into one polished blend.
Tasting Notes
The three oaks layer up complex barrel notes that stay balanced and polished rather than overpowering. Expect baking spice and a touch of chocolate and cinnamon from the French oak, caramel and vanilla depth from the Chickapin, and the Hungarian oak knitting it all together. It is a refined, woody bourbon for slow sipping.
What to Pair It With
This is a sipping bourbon, best neat or over one large cube so the oak layers can show. From the Sparrow dinner menu, pair it with our American Wagyu steaks or the Sparrow-Smoked Rack. It is a fitting after-dinner pour in our 21+ lounge at the quartzite bar.
