About Alpeggio Hay Liqueur

Alpeggio comes from Antica Erboristeria Cappelletti, a long-running herbal house in the Trentino region of northern Italy. The name nods to high alpine summer pastures, and the liqueur is built around wild mountain hay, the grasses and flowers cut from meadows high in the Dolomites and sun-dried before being infused into spirit. The result captures the scent of a hayloft and a mountain meadow, a tradition of botanical liqueurs that runs from the Italian Alps north into Bavaria. It is a small slice of the Alps poured into a glass here in Kirkland.
