About Tromba Reposado

Tromba is a product of Los Altos, the highlands of Jalisco, and the brand was founded in 2011 by a small group that includes the Cedano family. Its master distiller, Marco Cedano, previously worked as master distiller for one of the region’s best-known houses. The name Tromba comes from the intense rainstorms that sweep the Jalisco highlands and nourish the famed blue agave grown there. The blue agave is sourced from the highlands, where the red, iron-rich soil and cooler altitude are prized for the sweetness they build in the plant. As a reposado, it rests in American oak barrels, which rounds out the spirit and adds a gentle layer of warmth while keeping the cooked-agave heart front and center. Tromba has built its reputation on being approachable and genuinely well made rather than flashy.

Tasting Notes

A Highland reposado like this leans toward sweet cooked agave and citrus, softened by light vanilla, baking spice, and a whisper of toasted oak from its time in barrel. It is smooth, balanced, and easy to enjoy.

What to Pair It With

Reposado has the body for spiced, savory food. From the Sparrow dinner menu, pour it with the Lamb Quesa-Birria Tacos, the Guajillo Chicken, or the Tuna Tartare, or mix it into a Margarita or our Juanita-Rita. It also makes a fine sipper during our daily happy hour, 3 to 5 PM.
