From Sparrow’s red wine by the glass list, the L’Umami Pinot Noir is our nod to classic Oregon Pinot, an easygoing, food-friendly pour that feels right at home in our Kirkland dining room ($15 a glass).
About L’Umami Pinot Noir
This is a classic Willamette Valley style Pinot Noir from Oregon, one of the great Pinot regions of the world. It captures the lighter, more aromatic side of red wine, the kind of bottle that goes with almost everything on the table.
Tasting Notes
Look for delicate red fruit flavors of cherry and cranberry, with subtle floral and vanilla notes. Underneath sits a mildly funky barnyard and forest floor earthiness that gives the wine its character. It is light to medium bodied, soft, and gently savory.
What to Pair It With
Pinot Noir loves earthy, savory dishes. From the Sparrow dinner menu, it is lovely with the Braised Duck, the Italian Sausage Fresh Rigatoni, or the Pacific Black Cod. It is also a graceful match for a cheese and charcuterie spread out on the four-season patio.
