Knob Creek Single Barrel

From Sparrow’s bourbon list, Knob Creek Single Barrel is a step up for the Knob Creek faithful, a bolder pour drawn from individual barrels ($17 by the pour, or $25.50 for a larger pour).

About Knob Creek Single Barrel

Knob Creek comes from the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky, the home of the small batch bourbon movement created by Booker Noe, a grandson of Jim Beam. Where the standard Knob Creek is married together from many barrels, a single barrel expression is bottled from one hand-selected barrel at a time, so each one carries its own character. That single barrel approach tends to deliver a richer, more intense version of the Knob Creek profile, with all the depth of long aging in charred white oak.

Tasting Notes

Expect the classic Knob Creek backbone turned up a notch, deep caramel and toasted oak with warm baking spice and a long, full finish. Coming from a single barrel, it drinks bold and concentrated, the kind of bourbon that rewards a slow sip.

What to Pair It With

This is a bourbon for sipping neat or over one large cube, best enjoyed in our 21+ lounge after dinner. From the Sparrow dinner menu, it is a fine match for the American Wagyu steaks or the Sparrow-Smoked Rack.
