Don Abraham Reposado

From Sparrow’s agave and sotol list, the Don Abraham Reposado is a smooth, organic tequila that is easy to love whether you sip it slow or order it in a Margarita ($18 by the pour, or $27 for a larger pour).

About Don Abraham Reposado

Don Abraham Organico is made in Jalisco, Mexico, from 100% organically farmed Blue Weber agave grown in one of the region’s most respected agave-growing areas. The brand built its name on a clean, traditional approach, an organic single-estate tequila that lets the agave show through. After distillation, the reposado is rested in oak, which gives it its gentle golden color and softer, rounder character without burying the plant it came from. It is a great example of how good tequila can be when the farming and the craft are taken seriously.

Tasting Notes

Reposado, which means rested, sits between a bright blanco and a deeper anejo. Expect a mellow, approachable pour with cooked agave at its heart, a touch of oak from the barrel rest, and a smooth, warming finish. It is the kind of tequila that works equally well neat in a 21+ lounge nightcap or as the backbone of a cocktail.

What to Pair It With

This is a natural with anything off the grill or anything with a little char and spice. From the Sparrow dinner menu, try it alongside the Lamb Quesa-Birria Tacos, the Guajillo Chicken, or the Tuna Tartare. It also makes a beautiful Margarita or our Juanita-Rita. Catch the daily happy hour from 3 to 5 PM for $3 off well drinks.
