About Diamond Knot Brown Ale
Diamond Knot Craft Brewing was started in 1994 by Bob Maphet and Brian Sollenberger, two Boeing engineers who met at a beer club in Everett, Washington. They handled all the brewing and distribution in the evenings while keeping their day jobs, and Diamond Knot became the first microbrewery in Mukilteo and the oldest in Snohomish County. The brewery is named for the Diamond Knot cargo ship that wrecked in 1947, a nod to perseverance and resourcefulness. This Brown Ale is a classic example of the malty, nutty style.
