Chopin

From Sparrow’s vodka list, Chopin is a classic Polish potato vodka and a favorite we are happy to pour, $12 by the pour, or $18 for a larger pour.

About Chopin

Chopin is one of Poland’s most storied vodkas, family-owned and made in the small town of Krzesk in the Podlasie region of eastern Poland, an area known for its fertile soil and ideal potato-growing climate. The brand helped launch the super-premium vodka category in the 1990s, and its potato vodka is still made in small batches from locally grown potatoes. Potatoes are far more demanding to distill than grain, which is part of why this style is so prized among vodka lovers. It is a vodka with real heritage behind it, exactly the kind of bottle we enjoy introducing to our Kirkland guests.

Tasting Notes

Potato vodkas like Chopin are prized for their full, creamy texture and rich, rounded body. Expect a velvety mouthfeel with a smooth, clean finish and a subtle natural sweetness, lovely sipped chilled and neat where its character can shine. This is a vodka with genuine presence on the palate rather than a simple neutral pour.

What to Pair It With

Vodka is bright and mixable, and a fuller potato style stands up nicely to richer bites. From the Sparrow dinner menu, enjoy it with the Fresh Oysters, the Tuna Tartare, or the Truffle Deviled Eggs. It also makes a beautiful martini, and our daily happy hour from 3 to 5 PM is a fine reason to settle into the 21+ lounge.
