About Astraea Mist

Astraea is a Seattle gin brand founded by master distiller Danielle Leavell, who came home to the Pacific Northwest to craft botanical spirits rooted in a sense of place. Astraea is distilled in the traditional London Dry style using certified organic botanicals drawn from the wild PNW landscape. Mist is the brand’s lightest, brightest expression, named for the crisp, cool air of a Northwest winter morning and built with a gentle touch of juniper rather than a heavy, piney one. Because the botanicals are foraged from the wild PNW landscape, the gin carries a real sense of place, the same hills, coastline, and forests you find all around the Eastside. It is exactly the kind of thoughtful local craft gin Sparrow likes to keep on the list.

Tasting Notes

Mist is exceptionally well balanced, with a soft, airy character and just a light touch of juniper. Expect a clean, fresh profile that stays bright and approachable, the sort of gin that works beautifully on its own or as the backbone of a crisp cocktail.

What to Pair It With

Gin this clean is made for bright, briny bites. From the Sparrow dinner menu, try it alongside Fresh Oysters, Tuna Tartare, or a Spring Arugula Salad, or build it into a crisp martini or spritz. It is a natural choice in our 21+ lounge, and our daily happy hour from 3 to 5 PM takes $3 off well drinks.
