Pendleton

From Sparrow’s whiskey list, Pendleton is a smooth, easy-drinking blended Canadian whisky, $11 by the pour, or $16.50 for a larger pour. It is a crowd-pleaser with strong Pacific Northwest ties, which makes it a natural fit on our Kirkland bar.

About Pendleton

Made to honor the American cowboy, this blended Canadian whisky is distilled in the great white north and finished in Oregon with glacier-fed water from Mt. Hood. The brand is tied to Hood River, Oregon, where the aged Canadian whisky is brought to be blended down with that mountain spring water and bottled. Mt. Hood is Oregon’s tallest peak, and its glacial water has spent decades filtering through volcanic rock, which is a big part of the story behind Pendleton’s signature smoothness. The rodeo and cowboy theme runs through the whole brand, a tip of the hat to the famous Pendleton Round-Up.

Tasting Notes

Blended Canadian whisky is prized for being light, smooth, and approachable, and Pendleton fits that mold with a soft, mellow character, gentle sweetness, and an easy finish. It is the kind of whisky that goes down smoothly whether you sip it or mix it.

What to Pair It With

Pendleton is a versatile pour, great neat, on the rocks, or in a simple highball or whisky-and-soda. It is an easy choice during our daily happy hour, 3 to 5 PM, when well drinks are $3 off, and a comfortable sipper in our 21+ lounge. For food, it pairs happily with the American Wagyu Steak Sandwich or the Wagyu Sliders from our dine-in menu.
