Patron Cristalino

From Sparrow’s agave and tequila list, the Patron Cristalino is a special-occasion pour, an aged anejo made crystal clear ($20 by the pour, or $30 for a larger pour).

About Patron Cristalino

Patron is one of the most recognized names in tequila, made in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, from 100% Weber Blue Agave using small-batch, handcrafted methods. The Cristalino begins as Patron Anejo, aged 15 to 18 months in a combination of French oak, Hungarian oak and used American whiskey casks. It then undergoes a charcoal filtration process that strips away the color and renders it crystal clear, while preserving the flavor the spirit picked up during barrel aging. The idea is to deliver all the subtle, layered characteristics of an aged tequila with the clean, polished finish of a blanco. It is a beautiful bottle and one of the more striking pours we offer.

Tasting Notes

Cristalino-style tequila is prized for the contrast between how it looks and how it tastes. Though it pours clear like a blanco, the aging shows through in soft notes of vanilla, light oak and gentle sweetness layered over cooked agave, all carried to a smooth, exceptionally clean finish. It is elegant and easy to sip.

What to Pair It With

This is a tequila to savor. Sip it neat or over a single large cube to let the polished aged character unfold. It also pairs beautifully with refined plates from the Sparrow dinner menu, like the Tuna Tartare or the Scallops and Prosciutto. It is a perfect after-dinner pour in our 21+ lounge with the quartzite bar.
