About Lustau East India Sherry
Emilio Lustau is one of the most respected bodegas in Jerez, Spain, the home of sherry. Their East India Solera revives a historical style: centuries ago, casks of sherry were lashed to ships sailing to and from the Indies, and the long sea voyage was found to give the wine an extraordinary smoothness and depth. Lustau recreates that character on land. The East India is a cream sherry built by blending dry Oloroso with sweet Pedro Ximenez, each aged in its own solera before the blend is returned to cask for further aging. The result is a dark, layered sweet sherry with real history in the glass.

This is deep mahogany in color and luscious on the palate, with notes of raisin, maple, brown sugar, toasted nuts, and dried orange peel. It is sweet and concentrated but stays balanced, finishing long and smooth.
