About Foro Sweet Vermouth
Like its dry sibling, Foro Sweet Vermouth comes from the Piemonte region of Italy and is made in adherence to the strict standards of Vermouth di Torino, the birthplace of Italian vermouth. Here the base is Moscato and Inzolia wines, flavored primarily with Roman wormwood and then layered with an infusion of bitter and sweet orange peels, saffron, cinnamon, balsam, myrrh, rhubarb, sandalwood, mace, and gentian. It is a deeply aromatic take on the classic sweet Torino style.
Tasting Notes
Look for round sweetness balanced by warm baking spice and bittersweet orange, with the wormwood and gentian keeping the finish lively rather than cloying. It is the kind of vermouth that works equally well chilled on its own or as the backbone of a cocktail, finishing long and lightly bitter rather than syrupy.
What to Pair It With
Sweet vermouth is a do-everything pour, an aperitivo over ice with an orange twist or the heart of a Manhattan or Negroni in our 21+ lounge. It also makes a fine digestivo after a meal from the Sparrow menu, especially alongside the Truffle Deviled Eggs or a slice of something sweet. Catch our daily happy hour 3 to 5 PM to ease into the evening.
