Ambassador Wines of Washington is a family-owned producer farming a single estate vineyard on Red Mountain, the small AVA in eastern Washington that is fast becoming the state’s hotspot for top-tier reds. The warm days, cool nights, and well-drained soils of Red Mountain are ideal for ripening Bordeaux and Rhone varietals, and Ambassador grows all of its own fruit there. The Attache is their estate-grown red blend from the 2022 vintage, bringing together Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. That mix of Bordeaux grapes plus a dose of Syrah gives the wine both structure and a savory, peppery lift, and because everything is estate grown the blend reflects a single, consistent site rather than a patchwork of purchased lots.
